EDUKASI PEMBUATAN SABUN ORGANIK ECO-FRIENDLY DARI MENTIMUN DAN MINYAK JELANTAH

The increase in population and the high consumption of cooking oil in Indonesia have contributed to the growing volume of used cooking oil waste, commonly known as waste cooking oil, which has the potential to pollute the environment if not properly managed. This community service program aims to enhance community knowledge and skills in processing waste cooking oil into environmentally friendly soap products with the addition of cucumber extract, while also supporting economic empowerment through digital-based marketing. The activities were conducted in Lamongan Regency through three stages: education on the negative environmental impacts of waste cooking oil, training on soap production, and assistance in digital product marketing. The method employed was descriptive, with data collected through direct observation during the implementation of the activities. The results showed an increase in community awareness and understanding of the importance of managing waste cooking oil, as well as improved participant skills in producing soap made from waste cooking oil and cucumber extract. Furthermore, digital marketing assistance enhanced partners’ capacity to independently market their products, expand consumer reach, and increase the economic value of the products. This activity demonstrates that the integration of environmental education, product innovation, and digital marketing can serve as an effective strategy for sustainable waste management and community empowerment.
